I bought this to do inventories of equipment, and found it to be very easy to use, and the SDK allowed easy inclusion into Microsoft Excel. The automatic time stamp on the scan allowed me to see when a piece of equipment arrived and and left a facility. Battery life is great, although suffered slightly in extreme temperatures (outside specified operating limits). Works well in even bright sunlight.
